Policies

To ensure attentive and quality care for every patient’s need, we expect all patients to  respect our office and other patients by adhering to our policies.

We thank you for your understanding and anticipated cooperation in our efforts to accommodate each and all of our patient's needs.

Prescription Refill Policy

If you need a refill on a prescription, please contact your pharmacy to submit a request for a refill. Your pharmacy will send a request to our office, in which Dr. Johnson will fill the request in the order the requests are received.

Please allow 24-48 hour’s notice to process refills. 

Same Day Appointments

If you are in need of a same day appointment, please call to schedule. Due to the busy nature of our office, we cannot accommodate walk-in appointments, as this will create a long wait for you and patients who have been scheduled beforehand. 

We generally have same day appointments available and do our best to meet our patients' needs. 

Please call 911 if you are having a medical emergency.

 

No Phone Policy

Cell phones are very disruptive to the efficiency of the office and to the peace and serenity of the healing atmosphere. 

We ask that you kindly wait to answer your phone or make a call until you leave our office; this includes playing music or videos on speaker.

Cancellation Policy

 We require 24 hour notice during the workweek* for appointments that need to be re-scheduled or cancelled. We understand that other obligations may arise, but late cancellations and no shows prevent other patients from receiving needed and timely treatment. A fee of $25 will be charged for cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment time; a  fee of $35 will be charged if you do not show up to your appointment and neglect to inform us. A fee of $50 will be charged if the appointment is a physical exam, as these appointment slots are longer and are in high demand.

We understand that emergencies arise and allow for the following exceptions to cancellation fees:

·  Any appointment made less than 24 hours ahead of the scheduled appointment time. However, you must call to cancel or reschedule the appointment in order to waive the fee.

·  If you are admitted to the hospital or emergency room the day of your visit.

Please note that this fee is not covered by your insurance. Payment is due immediately or at the time of your next service.

*If your appointment is on Monday, cancellations must be made the Friday before your appointment.
